Aftershocks in the Crevice

Aftershocks in the Crevice
Aftershocks in the Crevice
Sound installation
Year : 2025
Materials : rock, crevice, vinyl, resonance speaker
Venues : Waley Art (TW)

In "Aftershocks in the Crevice" I slowly pressed a skateboard over the cracks on the road, recording the sounds with a contact microphone. The recordings were made into a vinyl record, where the cracks on the ground correspond to the grooves on the vinyl, like an imprint of sound. In the exhibition, these grooves are played back through modified ceiling lamps and windows, producing sounds and bodily sensations that resemble a real earthquake.
